Amritsar Tour

Soul of Punjab – The Amritsar Experience

Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Tue. 11th Nov 2025 Delhi to Amritsar by Flight

Start your journey with a morning flight from Delhi to Amritsar, one of the most sacred and cul-turally rich cities in India. Founded in 1577 by the fourth Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das, Amritsar is home to the Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) and stands as a spiritual epicenter of Sikhism. The city also bears deep historical significance from the British colonial era and the India-Pakistan partition.

Upon arrival at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport, meet your driver and transfer to your hotel for check-in and some rest.

In the afternoon, proceed to the Wagah Border (approximately 30 km from the city) — the only road border crossing between India and Pakistan. Every evening, crowds gather here to witness the Beating Retreat Ceremony, a captivating military ritual performed by the Indian Border Se-curity Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers. The ceremony includes energetic foot-stamping marches, patriotic chants, and the lowering of national flags from both sides in perfect coordina-tion. This powerful and symbolic event reflects the intense pride and discipline of both nations and leaves visitors with goosebumps.

Return to the hotel in the evening and unwind. Overnight Stay in hotel at Amritsar.

Day 02: Wed. 12th Nov 2025 Amritsar to Delhi
by Train-Approx. 6.5 hours / by Flight-1:20 hours

After breakfast and check-out, begin your day with a soul-stirring visit to the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), the holiest shrine in Sikhism. Built in the 16th century and gilded with pure gold, this architectural marvel floats on the sacred Amrit Sarovar (pool of nectar). Its divine au-ra, the melodious chants of Gurbani, and the hospitality of the world’s largest community kitchen (Langar) offer a profound spiritual experience for every visitor, regardless of faith.

Just a short walk away is Jallianwala Bagh, a poignant national memorial dedicated to the hun-dreds of innocent Indians who were massacred here by British troops on April 13, 1919. Walk through the narrow entrance to the walled garden and discover preserved bullet marks, the Mar-tyrs’ Well, and the Eternal Flame that silently narrate the story of sacrifice and India’s fight for independence.

After these impactful visits, transfer to Amritsar Railway Station/Airport to board to Delhi at 14:50 via Train or flight to Delhi at 14:15.

Upon arrival in Delhi Railway station and transfer to hotel in Delhi.
