After breakfast drive to Old Delhi and visit majestic Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques built by Emperor Shah Jahan. From here, walk through the lively lanes of Kinari Bazaar and the bustling Spice Market, where the aroma of fresh spices and vibrant shopfronts create an unforgettable atmosphere. Enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, witnessing the colourful blend of markets, locals, and heritage that defines this historic area. You will also drive past the grand Red Fort, a magnificent symbol of Mughal power and architecture.
Later, continue to New Delhi for a panoramic drive past the President’s House, Parliament House, and the iconic India Gate, built in memory of Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in World War I. After this, proceed to visit the splendid Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture. Its beautifully landscaped gardens, striking red sandstone structure, and perfect symmetry offer a serene atmosphere and a glimpse into the architectural legacy that inspired the Taj Mahal.
After lunch (on your own; the guide will suggest a good restaurant as per your preference), continue your sightseeing with a visit to the soaring Qutub Minar, India’s tallest brick minaret, surrounded by ancient monuments within the Qutub Complex. If time permits, you may optionally explore Dilli Haat, a vibrant open-air craft and cultural marketplace showcasing handicrafts, textiles, and regional cuisines from across India. Later, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi.
